We are really grateful. Jessie had severe preeclampsia, but was well taken-care of throughout. She is stable, Maddie is stable, and we are waiting on Cardiology for when we can feed her. She’s adorable. She’s strong. She’s beautiful.
Praises:
Rachel was our nurse, and helped deliver Maddie! It was the biggest gift.
8/10 Apgar, two points off for color. But everything else looked awesome.
She needed her lungs to be expanded, but didn’t need help breathing (and hasn’t thus far)
The timing of our appointment Tuesday was really a gift from God. The preeclampsia was severe, and baby needed to come out! Couldn’t have been better timing.
Maddie was born at the 8th percentile! 8th! The highest she’d been since May was the 4th, maybe 5th, percentile. What a tank!!!! TYJ for growth. Thank you for praying.
Prayer:
pray for her heart and lungs! This is just the beginning. We await lots of meetings with lots of doctors, an open-heart surgery, and a long recovery. Pray she’d have strong heart and lungs.
Pray for feeding! Jessie might get to breastfeed. We’d love that. Pray for that. Pray that Maddie is a good eater
